I have been interested in birds for as long as I can remember, and have become seriously interested in systematic ornithology over the past five years. I am most interested in vocalisations and studying the habitat and altitudinal preferences of Himalayan birds.
I often write about birds in my journal, and I have a page on books about Indian birds, which I am often asked to recommend. I don't usually carry a camera, but here are some birds I've photographed. I also help to maintain the OBC's Oriental Bird Images web site.
When it comes to bird-watching, I am fortunate to live in Delhi—second only to Nairobi when it comes to bird diversity in a major capital. I have put together checklists, directions, and other information about some of my favourite locations.
I'm available as a professional guide to small groups of interested birders on day trips in and around Delhi.
