Pattern on downstairs bathroom wall

We put our theoretical tiling skills to work in laying two patterns made of small handmade tiles in each bathroom, as shown earlier in the upstairs bathroom. On the left—with noticeably neater hair—is Panditji, who has been working on our house from the very beginning. Also on the left—with no hair at all—is a Bosch GLL-3X line laser. Once placed at the right height, it provides excellent vertical and horizontal reference lines (which may be the only straight lines anywhere in our house).
